Culture and integration: the most awaited event of the year returns to Puglia

Miss Progress International-Women for Progress is at its sixth edition. An original format, in which beauty plays a marginal role. The ten-days program has been announced.

TARANTO – For the sixth edition, Miss Progress International-Women for Progress is back in Puglia. The event, that aims to highlight commitment to health, environment, human rights and integration cultural of the participants, enhances the role of women in the social sphere and offers them a completely new role in the entertainment industry.
The Ambassadors of Progress, who come from every corner of the world, have the task of developing a social project: the most interesting and achievable will be rewarded by a qualified jury who will interview each contestant on September 24th.
Over the years, the format has obtained recognition of the most important national institutions (among them, the President of the Italian Republic, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Tourism) who have underlined the great social value and its relevant humanitarian aims.
Also this year the Puglia Region has granted, by the Governor, Michele Emiliano, the moral patronage.

Miss Progress International is an international event organized by the cultural association In Progress of Carosino and will begin on Friday, September 21st, when the contestants and their carers will be welcomed at Brindisi airport and then be accompanied to the luxurious Messapia Hotel & Resort at Santa Maria di Leuca.

From the Cape of Leuca to the Castellana caves, passing through the ceramics district in Grottaglie and through the WWF oasis in Torre Colimena, for ten days the multiethnic group will discover the beauties of Puglia through a real multi-sensory path crossing the provinces of Lecce, Taranto and Bari.

This year there will be a very important date: the seminar on the prevention of women’s tumors, which will be held by prof. Mattia Intra of the IEO (European Institute of Oncology) of Milan.
During the charity dinner on Saturday 22nd at the Messapia Hotel and with the march scheduled in Fragagnano on Saturday 29th, funds will be collected for the Women’s Cancer Center project of the IEO-CCM Foundation in Milan.

From the Muscettola Castle of Leporano (TA), on Friday 28th (starting at 9 pm, Italian time), thanks to the live streaming, the whole world will know the name of who will succeed the winner of last year, the Filipino Jedaver Pancho Opingo, guest of honor, who will document the realization of her project.
Ten days of culture, social integration and progress, with the intention of making the world a better place.
